Response to Ruth About Noah

Noah's about six inches taller today than he was in November when that picture was taken. It's unbelievable...

Help

OK, Dad.
#1: Log In
#2: Click "+ New Post"
#3: Click on the picture icon in the task bar- if you run your cursor over it first it says "Add Image"
#4: Click "Browse" and find the picture you want.
#5: Click "Add Another Image" if you need to add more than one picture.
#6: Make any adjustments to size or layout and then click "Upload Image."
#7: When it's done uploading, click "Done."
#8: The picture will then show up in the text box.
#9: Click below the picture and add any text.
#10: Move the picture by clicking on it, hold the click and drag the cursor down. The cursor will show up at the end of a text line signaling where it will be dropped. When it is at the right spot, release the click and the picture will move.
#11: To arrange pictures, they are easier to move up the page than down. Just click and drag up into the picture above it, release and the picture will move up.
#12: Then click "Preview" to make sure it's what you wanted.
#13: If you decide to make some changes, click "Hide Preview"
#14: When you are ready, click "Publish."

I sure wish I could figure out how to put the pictures where I want them...either I'm really stupid or this thing isn't very user friendly...

Noah Bachelder

OK, this time I'm really going to bed. I had to try and figure out why I can't add audio clips to the blog, but then I got to thinking, what the heck...I can add a picture of my grandson who sings with me. And here it is. It's the one at the bottom of the page, just below Billy Pipes.

I'm Going To Bed...

I can't attach an audio file...therefore, I'm going to go to bed and call it a night. Thanks, Rach! I love you.

Billy Pipes

I didn't mean for this picture to be so large. I clicked on the "Shrink" button, but it sure didn't shrink it...

...anyway, Billy is a good friend and a great singer. I'll be going to studio tomorrow morning to record some songs. I'm going to try to attach a song Billy recorded last summer. It's called "Daddy Frank".

Strange

I'm trying to figure this blog thing out and it really seems strange. It reminds me of an old Door's song.

Just Testing...

I'm still living in the dark ages, Rachel. I'm trying to see if this gets posted to the blog. If so, then I'll sleep easier tonight...as if! By the way, thanks for doing this for me... it means a lot!

My Father

A short while ago, I sent news to my family that I started a blog.

My Father's response: "Gee, I wish someone would show me how to create a 'blog' or a website where I can post stuff. I'm still living in the dark ages, so to speak. How nice that you can share your interests in this way."

My Father on the left, then Mother, then Donna and ???
Oh, and I'm in the middle, only a tiny fetus, as in the picture above.

My Grandparents home brings such nostalgia... long sold and repainted in shamefully tacky colors, these pictures are the only hints of truth I see.

You can't see it well, but there is a cement horse drilled to the concrete to my left.
I loved that horse- what wild imaginings it could conjure up in my creative mind!

This is Babe.
I don't know how I remember her name, for I am too young to remember this morning.

Man, what I wouldn't give for this T-Shirt!
I GOPHER YOU!
I wore it until the seems split and mourned it's retirement.
I still mourn it to this day:(
It so suited my personality.

The Breck girls.

And here we are in the 80s- for shame, shame for shame.
Oh that we might burn the dreadful pictures from the 80s!

Here I am in high school.
The Lansing State Journal was doing a story on braces.
Guess who showed up on the front page:)

So, here it is... my Father's very own blog.
And as you can see, he never lived in the dark ages.

I won't be able to do much for you in this life, Father, but here is a gift that will keep on giving:)

Love you,

Rachel

P.S. Feel free to make any artist adjustments necessary to suit your mood.
